The following pages can start to guide and support you through this process and will show you all the different options available.
Knowing that you can have the funeral that suits you and your family is so important and can be very comforting in those early days after a death. I can work with you to create a special ceremony to celebrate the life that has been lived and so that you can say goodbye with love and respect. It is very important to me that each service is bespoke and exclusive to the person who has died.
I am based in Clitheroe and work mainly in East Lancashire but can travel a little further afield. Working together to truly represent and remember your loved one would be both an honour and a privilege.
I started leading funerals in 2017 after training and gaining the highest possible national qualification in Celebrancy.
As an ex-teacher I have always worked with people and am very used to public speaking. I love my job as it is all about meeting and helping people at one of the most difficult times in their lives. I also love helping to create the perfect way for them to say goodbye. I am always led by a family’s wishes and nothing happens without their approval.
There are so many different options available for a funeral. Firstly the location and then the service itself. This can be religious, non-religious, or a mixture of both. You and others may want to speak at the funeral or you may want a Celebrant to speak for you, or again, a mixture of both. What is most important is that you and your family are in charge and that you can follow the wishes and preferences of the person who has died.
